HMRC seeks to boost RTI participants
HM Revenue & Customs are calling out to employers to join the Real – Time Information (RTI) pilot next year.
An additional 1,300 employers are wanted to join the 300 companies currently signed up for the pilot starting in April 2012. HMRC is hoping to get additional employers on board to join by July 2012.
Stephen Banyard, acting director general for personal tax, said: “We have considered all the technical and practical issues, and are confident we have the capacity to increase the pilot scheme by more than 300% next year.”
HMRC wants companies to join the pilot through their payroll software providers, which should already be using a platform that is part of the scheme.
